Dr. Matthew Cindric Appointed Chief of Vascular Surgery at Mon Health Medical Center

On Friday, August 25, Dr. Matthew Cindric was announced as the new Chief of Vascular Surgery at Mon Health Medical Center.

As the Chief of Vascular Surgery, Dr. Cindric is responsible for the hiring of additional vascular surgeons to meet the current clinical demands. Additionally, Dr. Cindric will pursue several goals to facilitate the growth of the program and enhance the care for vascular patients.

Dr. Cindric will work to ensure the standardization of clinical care processes to align with best practice guidelines, pursue the expansion of the scope of procedures performed within the service line, integrate vascular laboratories within the system, co-develop a multidisciplinary limb salvage program, create community screening programs, and provide education to providers. 

“In the last year, Dr. Cindric has been a vital part of the growth of our nationally recognized Heart and Vascular Service Line, and we are proud to have him step into this role,” said Dr. Bradford Warden, Executive Director of Mon Health Heart and Vascular Center and Chief of Cardiology for Mon Health System. “Vascular surgery plays a vital role in the comprehensive care of our patients, and I believe that Dr. Cindric’s leadership will strengthen this service line and allow our patients to receive continued outstanding care.” 

Dr. Cindric graduated from the WVU School of Medicine before completing his General Surgery residency and Vascular Surgery fellowship at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, PA. He is a fellow with the American College of Surgeons, a member of the Society for Vascular Surgery, and is board-certified in General and Vascular Surgery.
