Mon Health Oncology Welcomes Dr. Ahmad R. Cheema

Dr. Ahmad Cheema, Medical Oncologist-Hematologist

Mon Health Oncology is pleased to announce the addition of Dr. Ahmad R. Cheema to its dedicated team of physicians. Dr. Cheema will be practicing as an Medical Oncologist-Hematologist at Mon Health Medical Center in Morgantown and Mon Health Preston Memorial Hospital in Kingwood.

“It is my great pleasure to welcome Dr. Cheema to Mon Health. He will undoubtedly provide the utmost support and care to our patients, and we are very excited to have him join our team,” said David Goldberg, President and CEO of Mon Health System and Executive Vice President of Vandalia Health.

Dr. Cheema graduated with his Bachelor of Science from the University of Punjab before completing his Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery at the Services Institute of Medical Sciences, both in Lahore, Pakistan. He completed his Internal Medicine Residency at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai/St. Luke’s West Hospital Program in New York, NY before completing his Hematology-Oncology Fellowship at West Virginia University. Dr. Cheema is board-certified in Internal Medicine.

“As a Medical Oncologist, I have the honor and privilege of helping and supporting patients through what can be a very difficult time in their lives. The opportunity to work at Mon Health is exciting to me, and I am looking forward to serving the local community in this new role,” said Dr. Cheema.
