John Howard Subaru "Shares the Love" with Mon Health Medical Center
Posted Date: 12/18/2017
John Howard Subaru customers have the opportunity to share the love locally by selecting the Mon Health Zelda Stein Weiss Cancer Center as their local charity during this year's "Share the Love" event.
Entering its 10th year, Subaru dealers nationwide are raising funds for charities. For every new Subaru purchased or leased between Nov. 17 and Jan. 2, 2018, $250 will be donated to charity.
For the third time in the last four years, John Howard Subaru selected the Mon Health Cancer Center to be the local charity recipient. Donations will help fund the Radiation Therapy Center at Mon Health Medical Center.
An anonymous donor will match the donations dollar for dollar. Every $250 donated will generate $500 toward funding the new Radiation Therapy Center.
"On behalf of Mon Health Medical Center and the Zelda Stein Weiss Cancer Center staff, we are extremely grateful to John Howard Subaru and Randy Buzzo for their support," said Bill Hennessey, executive director of the Mon Health Medical Center Foundation.
Randy Buzzo, John Howard Subaru's owners, and John Howard Subaru have been affiliated with the Mon Health Medical Center Foundation for many years. John Howard Subaru has been a major golf tournament sponsor for the Foundation for the past 20 years. In addition, Buzzo is a member of the Mon Health Medical Center Foundation's Board of Directors.
John Howard Subaru's 2017 Share the Love event raised $10,296 for Mon Health's Cancer Center.
Since 2008, Subaru's Share the Love event has donated more than $94 million to charity, with customers choosing between four national and over 660 local charities. This year's event is on track to bring that total to more than $115 million.
