Cornerstone Care Teaching Health Center Mission Statement

The mission of the family medicine residency program is to provide residents with advanced and concentrated training in the specialty of family medicine. Residents have an obligation to the patient care program of the institution and to the effectiveness of the educational program to which they have been appointed. The primary purpose of the program is to advance the medical competency, knowledge, and skills of the trainee with a goal of excellence in the graduates of the program. As a teaching health center promoting rural primary care, the program strives to serve the greater community and surrounding area with optimum patient care.

The most important criterion for the performance of duty and evaluation the resident is the performance of their patient care and educational functions in a professional manner.
