Cartwright-Stroupe, DNP, APRN, NEA-BC, NPD-BC, FAAN, Senior Director of nursing strategy and professional development.

“By investing in lifelong learning, we empower our nursing teams to deliver the highest quality care while advancing their careers and strengthening the communities we serve,” said Krystal Atkinson, DNP, RN, CNOR, Chief Administrative Officer, Vandalia Health Mon Medical Center, and Chief Nursing Executive, Vandalia Health Northern Region. “We are proud to hold this ANCC designation across all of our northern region hospitals — a reflection of our systemwide commitment to supporting our nurses through meaningful education and professional development opportunities.”

ANCC NCPD Accreditation strengthens education and training opportunities for nurses, helping ensure they have the knowledge and skills needed to provide quality care for patients and communities. The accreditation supports up-to-date, evidence-based education, enhances the credibility of professional development programs and connects accredited organizations to a nationwide network committed to nursing excellence. It also helps nurses earn continuing education credits that support career growth, professional certification and ongoing learning.

The ANCC NCPD Accreditation model focuses on quality and continuous improvement, guiding organizations in how they plan, deliver and evaluate education for nurses. Accredited organizations regularly review their programs to ensure education remains effective, relevant and aligned with best practices, supporting nurses as they continue to grow professionally and deliver safe, quality care.
