Pete Dye Golf Classic raises $80,000 for Mon Health Medical Center’s radiation oncology program

Mon Health held its annual Pete Dye Golf Classic at Pete Dye Golf Club in Bridgeport Monday, June 10, 2019.

Thanks to 140 golfers and sponsors, the tournament helped raise $80,000 for Mon Health Medical Center's Radiation Oncology program.

"Cancer is one of the biggest issues that we have in this state and what we want to do is make sure that our capabilities meet the communities need," Mon Health Systems President and CEO David Goldberg. "We opened up a brand-new radiation oncology center a few years ago. We had a $4 million capital campaign, and we're less than a hundred thousand dollars away from meeting the goal.  Monday is going to help us get to the goal."

Winners of the scramble gross were, in 1st place, Andy Feeney, Steve Bissett, Ian Dunmyer and Adam Bolton; 2nd place was Adam Reynolds, Justin Carpenter, Andy Hess and Nate Ward. Winners of the scramble net were, in 1st place, Sam Merandi, Steve Mohr, David Mill and Dink Yurko; 2nd place was Bob VanHoose, Danny McHugh, Joe Stogsdill and Randy Murdock.
