Mon Health Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital to Host 14th Annual Weston 5K on June 8

Every three years, Mon Health Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital completes a Community Health Needs Assessment to understand the leading health needs of the community it serves. Several of the leading concerns of residents are chronic diseases such as diabetes, heart issues, and obesity.
In an effort to provide the community with low-cost ways to combat these health concerns, the hospital hosts its annual race series with several 5K run-walks for community members to stay active and on-top of their health together.
“Encouraging healthy activity while staying involved in our community has always been important to us as a hospital,” said Kevin Stalnaker, Chief Administrative Officer of Mon Health Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital. “We are proud to have held a successful race series and are look forward to capping it off with the Weston 5K. We hope to see plenty of participation and host a great race.”
The Weston 5K will be held on Saturday, June 8 at 10AM at the corner of East Second Street and Center Avenue in Weston. The top three placers will receive cash prizes. There will also be a free “Wee Run” for participants under 11-years-old after the 5K.
The registration fee is $25, and participants signed up before Saturday, May 25 will receive a race shirt.
