Mon Health Preston Memorial Foundation’s Annual Turkey Trot Raises Money for Dove Fund

The money raised from the race benefits the Mon Health Preston Memorial Hospital Foundation Dove Fund, which is in place to provide assistance and support for cancer patients.
“As a nonprofit hospital system, we value events like these that aim to support the initiatives of the Foundation,” said Luella Gunter, Executive Director of Philanthropy for Mon Health System. “The Dove Fund is an invaluable fund that seeks to meet the needs of cancer patients at Mon Health Preston Memorial Hospital and events like this make a real impact on the services we can provide.”
Top runners received medals made by the Preston High School pottery program. Each medal featured an imprint of a turkey foot in either gold, silver, or bronze clay. Top runner, Alex Liston, was awarded with a medal and a turkey donated by Shop ‘n Save Express in Kingwood.
“The Turkey Trot is always a great event for community involvement and a fun way to get into the spirit of Thanksgiving and giving back,” said Melissa Lockwood, Chief Administrative Officer of Mon Health Preston Memorial Hospital. “We are always proud to see community members gather together to support the hospital.”
