Mon Health Offices in Marion County Collecting Items for The Soup Opera Food Pantry

The Soup Opera is located in Fairmont, WV and serves daily meals to those in need in Marion County and surrounding areas. Due to a flooding right before Thanksgiving, The Soup Opera lost all of its supplies and is relying on community support to rebuild and continue to provide meals to families in need.
“Food insecurity is a desperate issue in our area and The Soup Opera does an amazing job of serving people in Marion County, this is one way we can help them meet the need during this difficult time,” said Luella Gunter, Executive Director of Philanthropy at Mon Health System. “Mon Health System strives to enhance the health of the communities we serve, one person at a time, and this is one of the ways we can live out that mission.”
Non-perishable food items can be dropped off at either Mon Health facility from now until December 13.
