Mon Health Medical Center names new director of Volunteer Services

Aimee Harris was recently promoted to director of Volunteer Services at Mon Health Medical Center.
In this role, Harris oversees the hospital's more than 130 volunteers. Volunteers provide a number of services at the hospital from staffing the information desk and hospital gift shop, to assisting hospital departments and delivering mail to patients. She also oversees the hospital gift shop and acts as a liaison with the Mon Health Medical Center Auxiliary.
Harris previously served as the Volunteer Services department secretary and prior to that was a volunteer at the hospital.
She has several years of experience managing volunteers as the director of Christian Education at Suncrest Methodist Church. She was instrumental in implementing the children center at the church, as well as coordinating fundraising for their youth ministries.
Harris has a bachelor's degree in journalism from West Virginia University.
