Mon Health Medical Center Awarded Acute Stroke Ready Certification from The Joint Commission

Mon Health Medical Center has earned The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval® for Acute Stroke Ready Certification by demonstrating continuous compliance with its performance standards. The Gold Seal is a symbol of quality that reflects a healthcare organization’s commitment to providing safe and quality patient care.

Mon Health Medical Center underwent a rigorous, unannounced onsite review. During the visit, a team of The Joint Commission’s reviewers evaluated compliance with related certification standards including program management, supporting self-management, and delivering and facilitating clinical care. The Joint Commission standards are developed in consultation with healthcare experts and providers, measurement experts, and patients. The reviewers also conducted onsite observations and interviews.

Mon Health Preston Memorial Hospital also recently earned The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval® reaccreditation and the American Stroke Association’s Heart-Check mark for the Acute Stroke Ready Certification.
