Mon Health Celebrates Quality, Risk and Compliance Week

Mon Health is hosting Quality, Risk and Compliance Week in honor of the National Association for Healthcare Quality’s Healthcare Quality Week, starting October 18 and ending October 24.

In recognition of Quality, Risk and Compliance, Mon Health System employees, board members and guests will participate in activities, education and collaboration at all Mon Health System facilities. Additionally, Quality, Compliance and Risk departments at each entity will provide educational displays focused on accomplishments and current projects and how each tie into patient outcomes and provide high-quality care to the community.

"While quality and patient safety is always a top of mind priority at Mon Health System, this week emphasizes the key initiatives and performance improvement that is needed to enhance patient safety and lead the organization to achieve nationally recognized, best outcomes" said Laura Evans, Senior Director of Quality at Mon Health Medical Center.

Complimentary webinars hosted throughout the week will provide CME’s and CEU’s for all participants, including the public. Topics will include: Building Blocks for a Successful Patient-Friendly Advisory Council, Suicide Prevention, Compliance and Ethics, Leading with Lean, Value-Based Reimbursement Using Population Health Management Strategies, Stark Law and EMTALA, Driving Quality and Patient Safety, and Quality and The Watchman Procedure: Improved Patient Outcomes.
