John Howard Subaru, Leukemia & Lymphoma Society donate blankets, crafts to Mon Health Cancer Center

Posted Date: 7/23/2019
Subaru of America, Inc. partnered with The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) for the fourth consecutive year to donate blankets and craft kits to hospitals and cancer treatment centers across the county. This initiative is aimed at spreading hope, love, and warmth to those fighting cancer. Over the past three years, Subaru and LLS have reached more than 100,000 patients in nearly 700 hospitals, with the help of 500 Subaru retailers nationwide.

For the past four years, John Howard Subaru of Morgantown selected the Zelda Stein Weiss Cancer Center of Mon Health Medical Center to be the local charity recipient for its Subaru Loves to Care event.

"I had the pleasure of rounding on our patients and presenting them with a special blanket from the Subaru Loves to Care event. Our patients are so appreciative of this kind act, we see them return on visits with their blanket in hand. Our Infusion service team thanks you for thinking of their patients," said Tammy Minton, Mon Health Oncology Service Line Director.

Staff from John Howard Motors delivered 80 blankets, 23 craft kits and messages of hope written by Subaru customers to patients in July.
