Mon Health System and Mylan Park Host Halloween Event Featuring Costume Parade, Movie Night and Flu Shots
Posted Date: 10/19/2020
With Halloween around the corner, Mon Health System and Mylan Park are teaming up yet again to provide safe, socially distanced entertainment for families to celebrate the spooky season with an outside movie, kid’s costume parade and flu shots.
On Saturday, October 24th, the movie night will be held as usual, but will feature Halloween fun. "We wanted to offer a safe, socially distanced opportunity for families to celebrate Halloween," said Jennifer Lainhart, Mylan Park Director of Aquatic and Track. "Leading up to the event, we hosted a poll on Facebook and let the community vote on which movie would be shown and The Nightmare Before Christmas was the winner".
Free and open to the public, the costume parade will begin at 4 p.m. and the movie will follow at 5 p.m. In addition to the festive activities, Mon Health System will be hosting a flu shot tent for ages 9 and up, while supplies last. If insured, insurance must be presented. If uninsured, $20 payment is required at time of service. The event will comply with the current CDC and local COVID-19 guidelines, requiring guests to wear masks upon entry to the track. Concessions will be available as guests are prohibited from bringing outside food and beverages; no coolers are permitted. It is also recommended that guests bring their own seating or blankets to enjoy the film comfortably. Once situated and socially distanced, masks may be removed while enjoying the movie.
"Mon Health System is proud to continue our partnership with Mylan Park in such creative ways," said David Goldberg, President and CEO of Mon Health System. "As like-minded organizations, we are committed to the health and wellness of our communities and look forward to celebrating Halloween safely among the mountains."
