Posted Date: 9/7/2011
Mon General Hospital has been named one of only 50 employers in the
nation to be the recipient of the “AARP Best Employers for Workers Over
50” recognition for 2011.
“AARP Best Employers for Workers
Over 50” is an annual recognition program that acknowledges companies
and organizations whose demonstrated best practices and policies for
addressing issues related to our nation’s aging workforce provide
roadmaps for the workplaces of tomorrow. This means that Mon General Hospital is
rated among the top 50 employers in the nation for those over the age
of 50.
"The AARP invited employers from across the country to
apply for the “Best Employer” designation by describing their
innovative practices for all workers in an in depth questionnaire," said
Mon Health System President and CEO Darryl Duncan. "Several of our
innovative policies and practices include in service retirement,
flexible scheduling and our employee wellness program to name a few.
"This
is a very prestigious recognition, and I am very proud that our
hospital is a leader in our community and, in fact in the country in
developing innovative approaches to maintain a strong and vibrant work
force," Duncan said.
