Vandalia Health Mon Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital to host 15th Annual Children’s Safety Fair Oct. 25

Vandalia Health Mon Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital will host the 15th Annual Children’s Safety Fair on Saturday, October 25, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the hospital.

Sponsored by the hospital’s outreach and emergency departments, the Safety Fair brings together community partners and public safety organizations to promote safe and healthy lifestyle choices for children and families. The event will feature pumpkin decorating, free giveaways and free refreshments and safety displays from the Weston Fire Department, local law enforcement, hospital staff and more.

Children are encouraged to come in costume for a contest beginning at noon, with prizes awarded for the most original, funniest and scariest costumes in four age groups: 0-3, 4-7, 8-10 and 11-13.

“The Children’s Safety Fair is a wonderful example of how we bring our mission to life by connecting directly with families in our community,” said Lisa Songer, Chief Administrative Officer, Mon Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital. “It’s a fun and engaging way to promote healthy habits and safety awareness for children, and we look forward to seeing so many local families join us again this year.”
