Operation Supplies Over Skies delivered PPE to Mon Health Preston Memorial Hospital amid COVID-19 pandemic

Kingwood, WV (January 28, 2021) — Mon Health Preston Memorial Hospital received more than 5,000 pieces of personal protective equipment (PPE) via air delivery thanks to sixteen-year-old TJ Kim’s Operation SOS—Supplies Over Skies.

Since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic and including this mission, Kim has sourced, flown, and delivered 78,717 PPE and ventilator supplies throughout West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Virginia. This mission to Mon Health Preston Memorial Hospital was Kim’s twenty-second PPE delivery.

Kim flew the PPE into the North Central West Virginia Airport (KCKB) on Sunday, January 24, 2021.

According to Mon Health Preston Memorial Hospital Chief Administrative Officer Melissa Lockwood, Kim’s commitment to delivering lifesaving PPE equipment to critical access hospitals in need is a true testament to Kim’s character, helping when hospitals need it the most.

“Among the challenges faced during the COVID-19 pandemic, it is truly heartwarming to witness TJ’s Operation Supplies Over Skies’ goodwill gesture that will help us protect our hospital employees,” said Lockwood. “TJ’s commitment to helping others in need is a true inspiration to our team members at Mon Health. With his generous donation, we can keep our staff safe while providing quality healthcare close to home.”

• (15) Commercial Disinfectant Wipes
