Mon Health Preston Memorial Hospital Makes Holiday Donation to Salvation Army

Posted Date: 12/27/2021

Mon Health Preston Memorial Hospital staff have come together this holiday season to provide a donation to the Salvation Army of Preston County. Mon Health Preston Memorial Hospital donated to two different holiday giving opportunities for the Salvation Army of Preston County, the Salvation Army Angel Tree, and Senior Care Packages for Hopemont Hospital.

Hospital staff participated by donating specific items to each cause to help fill bags for each initiative. Over 35 angels were adopted for the Salvation Army Angel Tree program. Donations for this program included clothes, winter coats, and toys for each angel. 69 care packages, which consisted of toiletries, hygiene products, and non-slip socks were assembled for patients at Hopemont Hospital in Terra Alta, WV.

“We are overwhelmed by the continued support of the staff at Mon Health Preston Memorial Hospital. This group continually supports the community in so many ways, and we are always grateful for their holiday donations,” Marsha Wolfe, Social Services Director of the Salvation Army of Preston County said.

“Our staff understands the importance of donating to such a meaningful cause, and each year, they are always in the giving spirit. We are so fortunate to support the community through these causes and work with the Salvation Army of Preston County. Our community drives us, and we want to support them any way that we can,” Melissa Lockwood, CAO of Mon Health Preston Memorial Hospital said.
