The Preston Memorial Hospital Foundation will continue its fundraising efforts to enhance patient care at its Biannual Spring Gala, Masquerade. The black-tie event will be held on Saturday, March 30 at the Morgantown Marriott at Waterfront Place. The gala will begin with a cocktail reception at 6 p.m. followed by a ticket auction, gourmet dinner and dessert, entertainment and dancing until midnight. “Building on Mardi Gras from earlier in March,” said Beverly Conley, Gala Committee Chair and PMHF Board Secretary, “our Masquerade will feature decorations and a signature drink with this theme.”

Local businesses are invited to sponsor a table to support PMH through new equipment and technology. Businesses may choose a sponsorship level ranging from $1,500 to $10,000. All table sponsors will receive a table set for eight, validated parking, recognition from the podium during the event and print and digital media recognition.

Attendees may also choose the table captain option. Guests who plan to bring a table of eight will pay $150 per guest and will receive podium recognition along with print and digital media recognition. “Our community support is paramount to our success,” said Melissa Lockwood, President and CEO of Preston Memorial Hospital.  “All sponsors, from Platinum to Table Captains, help us to make our fundraising goal.  Sponsors make possible our facility, equipment, and technology improvements, as well as expansion of services.”

Additionally, businesses are given the opportunity to donate silent auction items. Themed baskets, gift cards from local businesses and restaurants, jewelry and more will be included in the ticket auction items.

The Preston Memorial Hospital Foundation serves as the sole fundraising organization for the non-profit community hospital. Preston Memorial serves more than 10,000 people for emergency care, 1,400 people in need of hospitalization and nearly 63,000 people who require outpatient services on a yearly basis.

The 2019 Spring Fundraising Gala proceeds will contribute to replacing the EKG machines to better serve our patients. The approximate cost of the investment is $80,000. All Preston Memorial Hospital Foundation fundraising for fiscal year 2019 benefit this initiative.
