Preston Memorial Hospital donated 20 safety bags to Preston County Youth Football League.  Football and cheer teams from Bruceton, Kingwood, Masontown, Terra Alta, South Preston, Mannington, and Tucker County received bags in time for their season opener on Sunday, August 18.  Bags included items such as sterile bandages, ice packs, latex-free gloves, elastic fabric wraps, sterile gauze rolls and pads, paper tape, bee sting kits, and bacitracin ointment. Safety bags are a requirement to comply with National Alliance for Youth Sports safety rules and will allow coaches to treat minor injuries that participants may experience during the season.

“Our community turns to us for support when it comes to most health-related requests,” said Melissa Lockwood, President and CEO of Preston Memorial Hospital. “We are always happy to support our local youth, many of whom are children of our valued employees at PMH.”
