To better serve our community, patients in need of emergency care can now check up-to-the-minute emergency department wait times at Mon Health Medical Center, with other Mon Health System hospitals soon to follow.

At Mon Health, our priority is the safety of our patients and our staff. We are focused on providing patients with the best possible experience from start to finish. When patients are seeking emergency or urgent care, knowing up-to-the-minute emergency department wait times will allow them to select the most convenient location with the shortest waiting time, helping them get the care they need as quickly as possible so they can resume their daily lives.

“For a medical emergency, our emergency departments are ready, safe, and cleaned to the highest standards to mitigate the spread of germs and infection,” explained Dr. Christopher Edwards, Emergency Department Director at Mon Health Medical Center. Mon Health Medical Center was recently recognized by The American College of Emergency Physicians in the top 100 emergency rooms nationally for achievements in improving outcomes for sepsis patients. This dedication can be seen across all our full-service emergency departments with highly trained professionals who are working hard to provide you and your loved one with the best critical care, quickly and effectively. There is no reason to put your health at risk by putting off your visit to the doctor or delaying a needed medical procedure.”

“In an emergency, minutes matter,” says David Goldberg, CEO and President of Mon Health System. “Your urgent medical need is important to us and we will do everything possible to manage your care while maintaining your safety and that of our Mon Health Colleagues. Providing real-time emergency department wait times is a way for us to keep our communities informed and provide convenient access to care where and when you need it. There’s a reason why Mon Health is the most trusted healthcare provider in our community. We have a 75-year history of consistent, high-quality care with best-in-the-nation outcomes and the very best employees and physicians caring for our patients. While Mon Health System is excited to launch real-time emergency wait times, it is important to note that if there is a life- threatening concern such as a heart attack, stroke, or serious injury, patients should call 911 immediately. Wait times may be subject to change without notice so that patients with life-threatening conditions are able to be seen as soon as possible.

For those patients that are not experiencing an emergency but still seeking medical care, Mon Health System offers both virtual video visits, as well as primary and urgent care services.
