Mon Health
System celebrated Spirit Week to support local United Ways of Monongalia,
Preston, Marion, Lewis, Upshur, and Gilmer Counties.
Throughout the
week, employees participated in themed days, dressing up in favorite sports
team gear, tropical beachwear, Barbie and Ken costumes, and more to get into
the giving spirit.
Thursday,
November 16 was the system’s official Day of Giving. Seven prize drawings were
held throughout the day and winners received a range of prizes from gift cards
to free PTO. At 7PM, the grand prize drawing was held to give away a weekend
getaway to Deep Creek, Maryland and two box seats to a WVU football game to two
lucky donors.
“The United Way
workplace campaign at each of our Mon Health facilities is a prime example of
community helping community,” said Nate James, System Director of Employee and
Workforce Engagement. “At Mon Health, we are always looking for ways to give
back and we see no better way than to help nonprofits succeed.”
By the end of
the week, Mon Health System raised over $41,000 to donate to local United Ways.
