Mon Health Preston Memorial Hospital Donates Care Packages to Community

Posted Date: 1/9/2024
Mon Health Preston Memorial Hospital teamed up with Salvation Army to provide for Preston County seniors and children over the holidays.

Staff members from the hospital donated 50 care packages to Preston County seniors living in long-term care facilities. Each care package included nonslip socks, lotion, lip balm, bodywash, shampoo, a coloring book or wordsearch, and a card.

In addition, staff members donated clothing, toys, and other items to children in Preston County through the Salvation Army’s Angel Tree program.

“As a nonprofit hospital, we understand the importance of community support and as we round out the holiday season and enter the new year, we will remain true to our mission of enhancing the health of the community we serve through the care we provide and through initiatives like this,” said Melissa Lockwood, Chief Administrative Officer of Mon Health Preston Memorial Hospital.
