The Mon Health Cancer Center has earned reaccreditation from the Commission on Cancer (CoC), a quality program of the American College of Surgeons (ACS).
To achieve CoC reaccreditation, the Mon Health Cancer Center underwent a site visit to confirm the program’s compliance with accreditation standards that evaluate cancer care services offered by the program.
“Receiving reaccreditation for the Cancer Center is a testament to our unwavering commitment to providing the highest quality of care to our patients,” said Dr. Itishaam Qazi, Oncologist and Medical Director of Oncology for Mon Health System. “This achievement reflects the dedication and expertise of our multidisciplinary team, who work tirelessly to ensure that every patient receives personalized, evidence-based treatment.”
For patients and the community, the CoC accreditation ensures comprehensive cancer care including a complete range of state-of-the-art services and equipment, a multidisciplinary team approach to coordinate the best available treatment options, access to prevention and early detection programs, a cancer registry that offers lifelong patient follow-up, and more.
“The reaccreditation of our Cancer Center at Mon Health Medical Center shows our dedication to raising our standards and improving outcomes for our patients with cancer,” said Regan Siko, Director of the Oncology Service Line at Mon Health. “This shows that Mon Health is patient-centric and always working towards excellence and innovation in cancer care.”
