Mon Health Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital Welcomes New Orthopedic Surgeons

Mon Health Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital (SJMH) is proud to expand the orthopedic services offered to patients in Weston. The expansion includes the addition of six orthopedic surgeons joining Mon Health Orthopedics and the office of orthopedic surgeon, Doyle Sickles. 
 
The orthopedic specialties of the new physicians include ACL reconstruction, foot and ankle surgery, fractures, total joint replacements, general orthopedic surgery, and more. The six surgeons bring military experience with them to Weston. Each of them has garnered prestigious honors and awards in their field. 

Paul Carey, MD, FAAOS, is an orthopedic hand surgeon and West Point graduate. Dr. Carey received his medical degree from State University of NY Downstate College of Medicine and performed his fellowship in Hand and Microsurgery at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. He is a member of the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery, a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (FAAOS), and candidate member of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand. 

Christopher Chen, MD, is a general orthopedist and West Point graduate, earning his medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine. Dr. Chen performed his residency in orthopedic surgery at Madigan Army Medical Center. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and Society of Military Orthopedic Surgeons.

Shawn Gee, MD,
is an orthopedic sports surgeon and West Point graduate. He performed his fellowship in orthopedic sports medicine from the John A. Feagin, Jr. Orthopaedic Surgery Sports Medicine Fellowship and the Hospital for Special Surgery Sports Medicine Fellowship. He is an Assistant Professor of Surgery at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences and a member of the American Orthopaedic Society of Sports Medicine and Arthroscopy Association of North America.

Robert McGill, MD, FAAOS, FAAHKS, is an orthopedic total joint replacement surgeon and Air Force Academy graduate. He has a fellowship in adult joint reconstruction from Brigham and Women’s Hospital. He currently is an Assistant Professor of Surgery at the Uniformed Services University. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (FAAOS) and the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons (FAAHKS).

Theodore Steelman, MD, is a general orthopedist and United States Naval Academy graduate, with his medical degree from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences and residency from Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. Prior to becoming a surgeon, Dr. Steelman was a US Navy Blue Angel Pilot and a F/A-18 pilot with multiple deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and Society of Military Orthopedic Surgeons.

Jared Wolfe, MD, is a general orthopedist with his medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine and residency from Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and Society of Military Orthopedic Surgeons. He was selected as an emerging leader by the American Orthopaedic Association in 2017.
