Mon Health Preston Memorial Hospital Hosts its Annual Preston County Spring 100

The Preston County Spring 100 is a 15-week walking program where hospital employees and community members are encouraged to form teams and challenged to walk a minimum of 100 miles over the course of 15 weeks. Individual members that walk 100 miles or more will be entered into a drawing at the conclusion of the 15 weeks to win prizes.
In 2023, the Preston County Spring 100 had 150 participants who walked a collective 17,750 miles with 41% of participants achieving 100 miles or more.
“This annual event is an important initiative that encourages both our staff and the community to take control of their health and get active together,” said Melissa Lockwood, Chief Administrative Officer of Mon Health Preston Memorial Hospital. “As a rural hospital, we take a lot of pride in our community involvement and all we do to further our mission of enhancing the health of the community we serve, one person at a time.”
