Grafton City Hospital was formed in 1915 when the City of Grafton purchased the hospital owned and operated by Dr. Powell. The current facility was finished in 1945 at its current location known as "Finnegan Rock". Today GCH (critical access hospital) operates a 25 bed Acute Care floor, an Emergency Room open 24/7, Tygart Valley Rehabilitation and Fitness Center, and the Tygart Valley Total Care Clinic.
